Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries – Strawberries blueberries, and raspberries work perfectly (frozen creates the best texture)
  • 3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt – Use full-fat for extra creaminess or low-fat for lighter option
  • 1/2 cup milk of choice – Dairy almond, oat, or coconut milk all work wonderfully
  • 1 tablespoon honey – Adjust to taste or substitute with maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract – Adds warmth and enhances the berry flavors
  • 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed – Optional but adds fiber and omega-3s

Instructions

  • Step 1:
  • Add the frozen mixed berries to your blender first. This helps them break down more easily and creates a smoother final texture. The frozen berries will also help keep your smoothie thick and creamy.
  • Step 2:
  • Pour in the Greek yogurt, followed by the milk. Start with less milk and add more if needed – you can always thin it out, but it’s harder to thicken it back up. The yogurt should be cold from the refrigerator for the best results.
  • Step 3:
  • Drizzle in the honey and add the vanilla extract. If you’re using flaxseed, add it now. Start your blender on low speed and gradually increase to high. Blend for 60-90 seconds until completely smooth and creamy.
  • Step 4:
  • Stop and check the consistency. Your Mixed Berry Yogurt Smoothie should be thick enough to coat the back of a spoon but pourable. If it’s too thick, add milk one tablespoon at a time. If it’s too thin, add more frozen berries or a spoonful of yogurt.
  • Step 5:
  • Taste and adjust sweetness if needed. Pour into a tall glass and enjoy immediately for the best texture and flavor. The beautiful purple-pink color makes this smoothie as Instagram-worthy as it is delicious.
