For the Peaches
- * 4 ripe but firm peaches halved and pitted
- * 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- * 4 tablespoons brown sugar
- * 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- * ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg optional
- * 1 teaspoon vanilla extract optional
Optional Toppings
- * Vanilla ice cream
- * Whipped cream
- * Greek yogurt
- * Chopped pecans
- * Toasted sliced almonds
- * Honey or maple syrup
- * Fresh mint leaves
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Wash the peaches, cut them in half, and remove the pits.
Arrange the peach halves cut-side up in a baking dish.
Place about ½ tablespoon of butter in the center of each peach half.
In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon (and nutmeg if using).
Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the peaches.
Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the peaches are tender and the topping is bubbling and lightly caramelized.
Remove from the oven and let the peaches cool for 2–3 minutes.
Spoon the warm pan juices over the peaches and serve with your favorite toppings.

* Choose ripe but firm peaches for the best texture.
* Check the peaches after 20 minutes, as baking time may vary depending on their size and ripeness.
* White peaches and nectarines also work well.
