Ingredients
  

  • 2 tablespoons softened butter
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon beaten egg about half a small egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions
 

  • Cream butter and sugar in a small bowl until light and fluffy (about 2 minutes by hand).
  • Mix in egg and vanilla until fully combined.
  • Whisk together dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, salt, strawberry powder) in a separate bowl.
  • Fold dry into wet until just combined. Don’t overmix, or cookies will be tough.
  • Chill the dough for 15 minutes if it feels too soft to handle.
  • Shape into 2-3 small balls, place on a lined baking sheet, and flatten slightly.
  • Bake at 350°F for 8-10 minutes until edges are set, but centers look slightly underdone.
  • Cool completely before frosting or glazing.
